Book Club Kit

Start your own Book Club for 10 girls in 3rd-6th grade, based on
the first two books of each American Girl's historical series. Our
kit includes ALL NINE main historical girls : Kirsten, Samantha,
Molly, Kit, Addy, Josefina, Felicity, AND even Kaya and Julie!
The leader's guide includes info on starting up your book club,
internet links for more info or ideas, and tabbed sections for
each historical girl including 18 meeting plan outlines to walk 
you through every meeting with minimal planning, discussion
questions, historically accurate recipes and crafts (all supplies
and ingredients can be found at your local grocery or craft store),
90 bookmarks - 10 each per historical girl, book completion
cards for parents to sign and girls to redeem for incentive awards,
party ideas, and plans for a keepsake embroidery project. Also
included are pre-assembled 10 member kits - folders containing
a registration form, book club etiquette sheet, and membership
card.  Member kits for addtional girls over 10 are also available.  
Suggested membership dues are $2-5 per meeting per girl. Also
included is a guide sheet on helping you present the idea to your
local homeschool group.

Let the American Girls walk you through a brief overview of
America's history. From Native American Kaya to Julie of the
1970's, your homeschool will enjoy learning about history in 
a fun, creative way.  This is a simple unit study consisting of
tabbed sections for each historical girl including 18 basic lesson
outlines, book discussion questions from the first 2 books in
each girl's historical book series.  It also includes historically
accurate recipes, crafts, party ideas, bookmarks, timeline with
figures to cut out, incentive reward ideas, and plans for a
keepsake embroidery project.
Spend as much time as you like in each time period - but
lessons are structured for about 1-2 hours per book.  Several
recipes and crafts are offered for each girl whenever possible.
If you have the old Pleasant Company teacher's guides, craft 
and recipe books, there are only a couple of duplicates in our
unit study kit.  Our kit's activities are more historically accurate
than in these previous publications, while still being fun and
appropriate for students in 3rd-6th grade.  Younger siblings
can easily participate in the activites with some assistance. All
supplies and ingredients are easily found in craft and grocery stores.
